Heat Pipe Filling & Welding Machine

The Precision Heat Pipe Filling & Welding Machine is the technological heart of the heat pipe production line. It performs the “Double-Vacuum” process: first, evacuating the air from the sintered/grooved pipe, and second, injecting a microscopic, high-purity volume of working fluid before the final hermetic seal. This machine is designed to eliminate Non-Condensable Gases (NCG), which are the primary cause of long-term performance degradation and “cold-end” failure in thermal modules.

Advanced Features & Subsystems

  • Vacuum & Degassing Excellence:
    • Turbo-Molecular Pump Option: For high-end aerospace or server heat pipes, the system can achieve ultra-high vacuum (10−5 Pa range).
    • Automatic Degassing Cycle: Programmed “boil-off” cycles to ensure the working fluid itself is free of dissolved gases before injection.
  • Micro-Dosing & Fluid Management:
    • High-Accuracy Metering Pump: Utilizes a servo-driven ceramic piston pump or a high-precision syringe pump for fluid delivery, ensuring zero-drip and zero-error injection.
    • Fluid Compatibility: Fully compatible with Deionized Water, Methanol, Acetone, and Ethanol.
  • Hermetic Sealing Technologies:
    • Dual-Option Welding: Supports TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding for robust industrial pipes or Ultrasonic Cold Welding for ultra-thin (0.4mm – 1.0mm) Vapor Chambers.
    • Leak Testing Integration: Optional Helium Mass Spectrometry port for immediate post-seal leak detection.

FAQ

Q1: How does the Filling Machine handle the "Cold End" effect?

A: The “Cold End” is caused by residual air. Our machine uses a “Twice-Evacuation” logic. It evacuates the pipe, fills it, and then performs a small “flash evaporation” to push out any remaining micro-bubbles of air before the final seal is welded.

A: Yes. The software allows for Transient Power Profiles. Instead of a steady increase, you can program “burst” loads (e.g., 50W to 200W in 2 seconds) to see how the heat pipe handles sudden thermal spikes, mimicking modern overclocking behavior.

A: Since we use ceramic or sapphire pistons, the wear is minimal. We recommend a monthly flush with deionized water to prevent any mineral buildup, and a yearly calibration of the servo-motor steps to ensure injection accuracy hasn’t drifted.

A: The software includes an Ambient Compensation Algorithm. During the initial setup, we calibrate the machine with a “dummy” insulated rod to measure the heat leakage to the air, which is then subtracted from the total power to give you the true Q flowing through the heat pipe.

A: Yes. Both machines can be equipped with Barcode/QR Code scanners. The test results or filling data are automatically uploaded to your MES (Manufacturing Execution System), allowing you to trace the exact vacuum level and Qmax of a specific heat pipe by scanning its serial number.
